What this service is, and what it is not
Last updated 15 August 2026
A software engineering service
The Quiet Loop builds software to specifications provided by its clients. It is a software engineering service and nothing more. Nothing on this website, in any proposal, or in any communication constitutes financial, investment, trading, legal, tax or accounting advice, and none of it should be relied upon as such.
Where work touches a regulated area, you remain responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice from someone qualified and licensed to give it in your jurisdiction.
Trading and market automation
This is the area where the distinction matters most, so it is worth being explicit.
What we do: implement, in software, a strategy or set of rules that you provide.
What we do not do, in any circumstances:
- Design, recommend, evaluate or advise on trading or investment strategies
- Manage money or assets on your behalf
- Take custody of funds, securities or digital assets
- Hold API keys with withdrawal or transfer permissions
- Operate, monitor or intervene in a live trading system on your behalf
- Make any representation, projection or guarantee about performance or returns
Exchange and broker credentials remain in your infrastructure, scoped to trading permissions only, and are revocable by you at any time.
Automated systems that execute financial decisions can lose money rapidly. That includes losses caused by software defects, connectivity failures, exchange outages, data errors and market conditions the strategy did not anticipate. Past performance of any strategy — including in backtesting — does not indicate future results. You are responsible for the strategy, for testing it adequately before risking capital, and for the consequences of running it.
Every engagement of this kind includes risk controls — position limits, a kill switch, a dry-run mode and a full audit log — as standard. They reduce risk. They do not remove it, and nothing can.
Automation of financial and accounting processes
Tools that extract, reconcile or total financial documents are aids to a process that remains yours. They do not constitute bookkeeping, audit, assurance or tax services, and their output is not a substitute for review by a qualified professional.
Automated extraction is never perfect. Any system we build reports what it was uncertain about precisely because those items need human judgement. Acting on the output without reviewing the exceptions defeats the design.
Accuracy of this website
The content here is provided in good faith and for general information. Techniques described in the blog and case studies are general to the field and may not suit your circumstances. No warranty is given that any of it is complete, current or applicable to your situation.
Case studies describe patterns encountered in real work. They contain no client names, no identifying details and no figures. They are illustrative of the pattern, not a representation of results you should expect.
No testimonials or third-party claims
This site carries no testimonials, no client logos and no claimed results from other firms' work. If that ever changes, anything published will be genuine and evidenced.
Limitation of liability
Liability arising from paid work is governed by the written agreement for that engagement, not by this page. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from reliance on the general information published on this website.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know whether a particular piece of work falls inside or outside these limits, ask before engaging — email[email protected]. A question answered up front is cheaper than a misunderstanding later.
