Excel and report automation
A report that should take ten minutes takes half a day: copy four exports into one workbook, fix the columns, rebuild the pivot, check it, send it. Every week.
For finance, operations and admin teams who run the same spreadsheet routine every day, week or month.
The files, or a sample. We reply in writing within one working day.
The jobs we take on
- 01VBA macros for a recurring Excel report
- 02Python scripts that build the report from raw exports
- 03Power Query flows that refresh with one click
- 04Consolidating many workbooks or files into one
- 05Reconciliation between two exports, with the differences listed
- 06Splitting one report into a file per branch, client or region
- 07Fixing or documenting a macro nobody understands any more
What you send, and what comes back
How we work- You send
- The files from one past run (inputs and the finished report), the steps as someone does them today, and where the result goes.
- We return
- The macro workbook, script or Power Query file, a run log that shows what each run did, and handover notes: how to run it, what to change when a column moves, what it will refuse.
- How you check it
- Run it on a past period you already did by hand. The output matches your finished report, and any difference is listed with the reason.
- Free sample
- One step of the routine automated on your own files, with the matching check against your manual result.
- Price
- $250 to $1,500 a workflow, by the number of inputs and steps.

Questions about this job
VBA, Python or Power Query: which do we get?
The one that fits how your team works. Power Query when the job is reshaping and combining files inside Excel; VBA when it needs buttons, formatting or emails from Excel; Python when the files are large or the steps run outside Excel. We name the choice and the reason in the reply.
Our IT blocks macros. Can you still help?
Yes. Power Query needs no macros, and a Python script runs outside Excel. Tell us in the form and we plan around it.
What happens when the export format changes?
The handover notes say which columns the automation depends on, and it stops with a clear message instead of producing a wrong report. Small fixes after handover are billed at the hourly rate on the pricing page.
What we do not do
- Bookkeeping, tax or audit judgement on the figures
- Code that runs unattended on your systems without your sign-off
- Work that needs us logged in to your machines: you run it, we write it
